My family

My family.
Sun 01, Mar 09: Hi dear classmates: it is my family. Let me start by introducing myself. If you want to listen to me, please click this link:
http://voicethread.com/share/374802/

My name is Horacio Idàrraga Gil.
I was born in El Fresno, Tolima, seventy five years ago.
I came to Venezuela when I was twenty.
I used to work as a teacher at INCE. INCE is in Venezuela what SENA is in Colombia. I used to teach dress making.
I got retired in Nov 1990.

The lady in red pants, is Carmen. She married me in December 1.959.
She runs the house with iron gloves.
She turns an egg into the most delicious banquet and a piece of newspaper into the most beautifull flower ever seen.

I owe to her all what I am. All what I am is a debt I will never be able to pay.

Next to Carmen is Isabel. She is the oldest of our two daughters.
She is an ECONOMIST. She runs her own office.

Next to Isabel is Beatriz in green T-shirt. She is the youngest of our two daughters. She is a teacher. She teaches Biology.
She is Mariana`s mother.

Next to Beatriz, wearing pink T-shirt, is Doris. She is my niece. She is the wife of Arturo, the man wearing glasses and moustache.

Next to Doris is Carlos wearing black T-shirt. He is the yougest of our three children. He is a technician and works as a supervisor in Papeles Venezolanos.

Last in the group, next to Arturo is Adriana. She is Carlos`s wife. The other two ladies are neigbors and friends.

In the second picture we can see a proud grandma surrounded by our four grandchildren.
First at right is Carlos Jose. He is sixteen. He finished high school and is waiting his chance to go to the university. He wants to be an engineer.
Next to Carlos Jose is Mariana. She is fifteen and is studying 8th grade. She dreams of going to study to Massachussets Institute of Technology in USA.
Left to Carmen is Luis Carlos. He is fifteen. He dreams to emulate Luis Aparicio, Alfonso Carrasquel and David Concepciòn, the three gratest icons of Venezuelan baseball.
Last on the left is Jose Luis. He is the youngest. He is eleven. He is very, very humble. He just dreams with going to NASA and from there, to the moon.
The three boys are Carlos`s sons.

In the last picture we can see a group of siblings. They are daughters, nieces, grandchildren and the offspring of our daughters and nieces.
From right to left, they are Mafer, Mariana, Val, Daniela, Luis Carlos, Mema, Carlos Jose, Jose Luis, Isa, Beatriz, Olga, Jose Miguel and Sonia.

Now I wanto to tell you something else. I have seen in your presentations that most of you are interested in practising English. I agree with you. The only way to learn a language is using it.
I also want to practice, so if you want to contact me, my hotmail messenger is racebis and my email is isbecar@hotmail.com
My skype ID is racebis1

Finally I`d like to say that I am affraid of losing this course because I don`t have acces to “Mis cursos”. I have already done what the message sent by the tutor says, but I am still banned to do the exercises.

Well friends, my best wishes to you all.

Warm hugs, Horacio Idarraga Gil.

Dear Horacio,

Thank you for sharing this blog entry about your family. It's nice to see how happy everyone is in the pictures. This is a great way to introduce your family members to others, and to show your family how much they mean to you.

Well done.
